The Museum's carriage room contains a four wheel chaise purported to belong to Lucy Knox.

According to local legend, Knox once called out all the carriages to put at the disposal of guests to Montpelier. Lucy expressed such dismay at seeing her own carriage among them, that Knox asked his servant to remove it and never again bring it out unless requested by "Mrs. Knox or God himself."

Other artifacts in the room include images, farm implements and a traveling chest.
