| Oval Room
Henry Knox loved architectural innovation, and this room is a grand illustration of that. The oval room, or bow room, was used as the main room for entertaining guests and boasted thirteen foot ceilings, two marble fireplaces, large doors steam bent to fit the contours of the room and large windows that went to the floor, allowing an adult to be able to step out onto the piazza through an open window. The room commanded a spectacular view of the St. Georges River, looking towards the Atlantic Ocean.
